They are responsible for driving a leadership mentality while providing input for strategy, direction, and continuous improvement for the business.
Key areas of responsibility and accountability include staffing, labor relations, training and development, culture, and team member engagement.
The HR Manager will be responsible for facilitating a positive and productive working environment, where our talent can flourish and help continue to make Acreage the place to be Essential Functions and Responsibilities Partners with respective leaders and drives the strategy, administration and execution of HR policies, programs and processes procedures including employee administration, recruitment, onboarding, retention, compensation, benefits and leave administration, employee / union relations, performance management, talent management and retention Leads and directs the business to achieve HR targets and objectives for the business, including the development and achievement of KPIs Serves as an expert on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures Supports the Regional HR Director as well as the Regional Leadership Team as a hands-on partner with 'all things HR' Drives an inclusive culture where employees thrive while organizational goals are achieved at a fast pace Builds organizational capabilities including having a strategic mindset, considering both internal and external customers, and by making well thought out decisions using a balanced approach Leads, manages, and develops the team through effective communication, empowerment, and coaching and development techniques, including the drive for results Builds strong internal, external, and cross-functional relationships encouraging doing the right thing and living our values Proven ability to simplify and streamline in a complex environment; ability to balance and manage workload, as well as shift priorities for a growing company Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resource Management or equivalent experience Five or more years of HR experience in a leadership capacity Comfortable as a true business partner, having accountability to various operational teams Preferred Qualifications Union experience WURK HRIS experience Multi-site, fast-paced retail / manufacturing or production environment Payroll experience Comfortable in an environment of fast-paced growth and personal accountability Work Environment and Physical Demands The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
