POSITION SUMMARY The Graphic Design Specialist will devise and develop the graphic elements of marketing and communication campaigns and other creative materials based on existing branding or a creative brief.
This individual will support the department by executing tactics that are part of the strategic marketing and communication plans as well as ad hoc project requests.
The Graphic Design Specialist will ensure all project deadlines, tasks and procedures are met successfully and in a timely manner.
This individual is able to support multiple internal clients/projects and is able to plan and prioritize their work.
The Graphic Design Specialist is knowledgeable about current best practices in the field of graphic design, particularly digital design, and shares these ideas with the department so that they may be integrated into plans.
The Graphic Design Specialist efficiently produce, design, edits, updates assets, as well as manage revisions to existing production projects or templated creative.
This individual is knowledgeable when preparing print production of files, ensuring that all work produced is accurate, technically correct, high-quality, and press ready.
Individual will assist with other marketing and communications activities, including but not limited to proofreading/editing, project management, photo shoots, newsletters, flyers, presentation development, and video editing (if knowledge).
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to communicating with transparency and in a way that fosters teamwork and cooperation.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design required or related field (commercial arts)
Experience:
3-5 years prior experience in graphic design with an emphasis on digital design (agency or corporate) required.
Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury.
