Responsibilities:
Summary:
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for assisting Management run the day-to-day preparation, extraction, and finished product handling processes at the cultivation and processing facility.
The successful candidate will be an effective leader who possesses a passion for cannabis science, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to continually learn more to help educate her / his team.
Duties and Responsibilities (Include the following, other duties may be assigned):
The main responsibility of the Manufacturing Supervisor is to assist the oversight of day-to-day operations of the manufacturing department, ensuring consistent compliance with all regulations and the highest levels of safety and cleanliness inside the processing areas.
Collaborates with Management to meet production goals and to make sure the manufacturing environment is clean and compliant with current manufacturing guidelines and SOPs.
Supervises daily manufacturing operations, including edible production kitchen, with a focus on efficiency, precision, and quality.
Supervise and implement operation, maintenance, cleaning, adjustment, and repairs of manufacturing equipment.
Supervises the compliance of Standard Operating Procedures for extraction and distillation equipment as well as handling extraction gases, winterizing, refining, distilling, and/or formulating final finished products.
Supervises the compliance of Standard Operating Procedures for the production and packaging of manufactured goods.
Supervises technicians to ensure quality standards and production goals are met.
Maintain material safety data sheets for all solvents, chemicals, and products.
Maintain Inventory Records and Batch Sheets for all laboratory processing and products.
Supervise storage of solvents, supplies, and equipment according to guidelines.
Ensures consumable inventory levels are replenished regularly to avoid disruptions to production.
Records and reports KPI data to management on a regular basis.
Provides suggestions and recommendations for additional data collection and internal performance benchmarks for the team.
Fosters a positive work environment for her / his team; following staff schedules and assigning work and task responsibilities to meet or exceed production.
Partners with Management to follow policies & procedures to guide the daily operations and fully comply with all state medical marijuana regulations and OSHA requirements.
Coordinates with Management to execute a cleaning and maintenance schedule for all manufacturing areas and extraction equipment as required by procedures and manufacturer specs; ensuring no disruption to production.
Coordinates with 3rd party testing laboratory to prepare and manifest samples on a regular basis to ensure regular testing for quality, consistency and efficacy.
Positively responds to team's questions, concerns and suggestions and takes immediate action as necessary to resolve conflicts.

Qualifications:
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Education Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related sciences or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience Minimum of two year experience in a cannabis extraction/processing facility (lab) Ideal candidate will possess minimum 1 year BHO extraction experience Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges.

Physical Requirements Ability to spend an extended time standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet.
Close visual focus required.
This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
Must pass state and federal background checks (state mandated).

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
