Primary Function
We are currently seeking a _Software Development Intern/Co-op for Spring 2018_ _._ This position is located in _Atlantic City/ Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey._
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Software Development Intern/Co-Op will support our Transportation Security ? Software Development group. This group specializes in the design, development, testing, and production of complex software and information systems. The selected candidate will work with a multi-discipline team to create desktop, web, mobile and cloud hosted applications for the transportation security business.
Major Responsibilities
+ Develop, test, document, and maintain computer code for deadline driven projects
+ Manage data collected from different sources and formats
+ Conduct quality assurance and control activities
+ Write product and user documentation
+ Must be able to work effectively on individual-assigned tasks and on team-oriented projects
+ Contribute to project development and client relationship activities as directed
+ Improve performance in technical activities through training and outside study
Position Requirements
+ Must be enrolled in a university or college and actively pursuing a BA/BS or MA/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study
+ At least 2 years of coursework completed and a minimum 3.0 GPA
+ Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages including but not limited to C#, VB.NET, C++, or Java
+ Strong understanding and application of object-oriented principles
+ Fundamental understanding of relational databases
+ Excellent problem resolution and organization skills
+ Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security and Transportation Security Administration Suitability
THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
+ Familiarity with software development for cloud hosted solutions
+ Familiarity with SQL Server, Oracle, MS ACCESS
+ Familiarity with Python, MATLAB

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
