In this role you will support the engineering, operational evaluation, integration, simulation, and/or testing of aviation navigation capabilities and applications including but not limited to Ground-Based Augmentation System (GBAS), Alternative Position, Navigation, and Timing (APNT), and GPS. Assess and support standards evaluations, review system characteristics, benefits, and avionic impacts. Collect and process large volumes of test and survey data. Perform specific technical studies such as identifying and assessing the impacts that radio frequency interference may have on GPS based systems. Develop project plans, collaborate across large team environments, and communicate out on project status and success. Develop briefings, presentations, and other documentation to supportinternal program audiences and senior staff. You Have: -15+ years of experience with navigation systems, concepts, capabilities, and applications, including GBAS, APNT, and GPS -8+ years of experience with performing operational evaluations, integration, monitoring, or maintenance of complex navigation systems -3+ years of experience with project management -Experience with APNT components, including Distance Measuring Equipment (DME), Wide Area Multi-Lateration, E/LORAN, and Pseudolite Networks -Experience with GPS-based navigation and support systems, including Ground-Based Performance Monitoring (GBPM) systems, Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS), or GPS survey equipment and software -Ability to obtain a security clearance -BA or BS degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematicsrequired Nice If You Have: -Experience with the National Airspace System (NAS) -Experience with developing briefings and presentations to report out on findings and recommendations -Experience with developing and executing project plans -Experience with Microsoft Office preferred -Ability to provide thought leadership and recommendations for incorporating new data sets and drawing new insights and conclusions from the data Clearance: Applicants selected may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
