Aircraft Mechanic

As an Aircraft Mechanic, WG-8852-12, you will:
Direct, monitor or perform overall maintenance, servicing, inspections and documentation for one or more aircraft Direct and perform the ground movement of aircraft Launch, recover, park and service aircraft Perform end of runway inspection Install, remove, inspect and adjust aerial delivery systems to mission requirements Perform or oversee maintenance such as troubleshooting, removing, repairing, replacing, rigging, aligning, cleaning, painting and corrosion control In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Removing and replacing aircraft parts, accessories, and components Making adjustments and settings according to established specifications Using hand tools and test equipment Specialized
Experience:
Must have 18 month of the following experience(s):
Installing, adjusting, aligning, and troubleshooting Testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification Coordinating the work of other mechanics Scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow Instructing lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines
