Powered Support Systems Mechanic
As a Powered Support Systems Mechanic, WG-5378-10, may be expected to accomplish the following:
Provide similar support for fixed facilities Utilize a variety of specialized tools and sophisticated test equipment Work on engines and generators such as removing, repairing, and overhauling of accessories Perform periodic scheduled maintenance inspections Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and modify multi-fuel tactical heating units GENERAL
Experience:
Must have the following experiences:
Mechanical maintenance work Using technical manuals, illustrations, diagrams and schematics Using equipment and hand tools Troubleshooting, testing and repairing equipment SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have 18 months of the following experiences:
Removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing parts, components, and accessories Applying mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory to powered support equipment and systems Replacing, fitting, installing, and making adjustments Operating various individual systems Reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
