As an Police Officer, GS-0083-6, you will:
Serves as a Security Forces Dispatcher for the installation. Performs the full range of duties for defending protection level resources (Patrol, Security Response Team (I-SRT & E-SRT). Performs the full range of Base Entry Controller and commercial vehicle inspection duties. Perform and enforce the full range of security forces duties within the military installation Apprehends and detains violators of laws, rules, and regulations and turns them over to the Federal or civil police or other law enforcement officers for arrest and/or posting of collateral. Experience:
Must have the following experience(s):
understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. For entry appointment to the GS-06 position, the applicant requires the completion of high school or general educational development equivalency; along with the successful completion of an equivalent military security or police training course. Specialized
Experience:
Is defined as experience that prepares the applicant to perform the duties of this position. Length of time is not of itself qualifying. The applicant's experiences and the understanding of the basic principles and concepts of police work, policies, regulations, rules, procedures, and methods are mandatory requirements. Experience is evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the individual rank; however, full compliance with the position's unit of assignment and the position's military skill criteria and are always followed. The applicant's record of experiences, completed training courses, and education must show full possession of competencies:
knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors, needed to fully perform the duties of the position at each two-grade level interval.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
