Information Security Specialist

As a Information Security Specialist, GS-0080-9, you will:
Provide threat briefings Advise on programs to include physical security, information security, operations security, communications security, personnel security Identify and analyze security requirements Review specifications or proposed construction of facilities Participate in security conferences and workshops Functions as a technical specialist on all SCI security matters Recommend security improvements Implement security regulations Controls all collateral and SCI classified information Conduct scheduled and unscheduled security inspections Alert personnel to the strict prohibition regarding improper use and abuse of the classification systems Review procedures for safeguarding classified material Ensures SCIFs comply with all applicable construction and requirements Prepare inspection reports Review intelligence and counter intelligence reports GENERAL
Experience:
Experience, education or training that has provided analytical, decision making, or administrative skills which demonstrates the candidates ability to accomplish the work of an organization.
This experience must demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively and successfully with others.
SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have 12 months of experience in the Security career field or intelligence career field:
Research and analysis reports on physical, information, computer, and personnel security Conducting intelligence support operations, procedures, and practices that are necessary to accomplish intelligence functions in support of programs Implementing policies and procedures required to manage sensitive compartmented information programs and to protect sensitive compartmented information resources Maintain currency on a variety of different security program inter-relationships, requirements, regulations and guidance Present detailed and comprehensive reports with consistent follow-up work to ensure complete and quality discrepancies resolutions improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
